Friends of Wings - The Ethan M. LoCigno Fund

The Ethan M. LoCigno Fund has been established to provide programming and support specific to young adults who are grieving the sudden, unexpected death of a peer or loved one.  Programs will be operated by BJC Pediatric Hospice Program in collaboration with experts in the community and partner organizations.

 

Such programming will fill a rapidly-growing need for care and grief support for these children who are witnessing an increasing number of traumatic losses, while themselves navigating into adulthood in a pressurized, social media-saturated world.  Our goal is to offer tools to lessen feelings of isolation and provide ways to manage the vast, and at times, overwhelming range of emotions when dealing with loss.  

 

The Fund is managed and administered by the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation, affirming the commitment to outstanding pediatric care, research and education.
